Maintenance instructions
Maintenance instructions
By taking special care with how you wash your clothes, you will not only prolong their lifespan, but you will also help to minimise the environmental impact and protect our natural resources. The washing instructions on the label will tell you how to care for your clothes. You will find further useful advice below.
Details
Remove removable details and fasten Velcro and zippers before washing. Wash nylon tights and delicate garments with details in a laundry bag.
Thick meshes
Thick knits should be straightened and dried on a flat surface to maintain their original shape, which is why these garments have the additional information “Dry flat” on the label.
Linen
Linen is a natural material and can easily become deformed when wet. To restore the garment to its original shape, iron it with a hot steam iron. To maintain its shine, iron the garment inside out.
Viscose
Viscose is a man-made fiber made from cellulose and can easily become deformed when wet. To restore the garment to its original shape, iron it with a steam iron.
Silk
Silk is a very delicate material and should be treated with care. Use a detergent for delicate fabrics when washing silk and do not stretch the garment while it is wet.
There
Often, airing out a wool garment is enough. Use a gentle detergent when washing. Use the wool or hand wash cycle on your washing machine, or wash the garment by hand. Iron after washing to restore its original shine.
Ganga
Wash your jeans inside out to reduce fading. Remove them from the washing machine as soon as possible after the cycle ends to prevent wrinkling. The distinctive appearance of denim is a result of a special dyeing method. Small particles of pigment may remain on the surface that can dye other garments.
